The amazing thing about HARRY MEISTRUP  at 101 yrs. of age is not that he was the oldest player in the world (Guiness Book of Records ). It's really that he still played matches at the KB Copenhagen Ball Club in Denmark, where he had been a regular since joining in 1914!!

Every Tuesday and Friday for 2 hours at a time, Harry played against men who were half his age. He tried competing against men in their 60's+ but gave up when he found that they got worn out, so he played their sons!!

Meistrup, a retired banker, became a national celebrity. At the 1999 ATP Copenhagen Open, Harry played an exhibition match before a crowd of over 1500 fans and nearly upstaged the final.

Harry also skated and took long walks with his wife Eva,who was over 86. He claimed that tennis kept him young. He said the game was good for you. Well, this coach agrees and the amazing Harry was an example of his own good advice. So, get on the courts and keep enjoying those games-- sets-- and matches!!!
